Caravan Third-Party Liability Insured
The answer is: both. Your caravan is automatically insured for third-party liability when you transport it with your leased car from Blankert Shortlease. This means you’re insured for damage caused by the caravan, while driving, to others. Think of a situation where the caravan swerves and hits another car.
However, while your leased car is insured for damage to the vehicle itself, the same does not apply to the caravan. If you want to insure it, you’ll need to take out a separate caravan insurance policy. The value of the caravan determines the extent to which this is worthwhile. Finally, the same applies to trailers.
